Cyprus Winter School 2005

"... a corner of Earth touched by Heaven..."

The Baha'i community of Cyprus are holding their Winter School in Lapta in Northern Cyprus, from 6th - 11th January at the LA Holiday Village, nestling between the Besparmak Mountain range and the Mediteranean Sea. (Visit www.la-hotel-cyprus.com to 'see' the Resort and find useful information about the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus).

The School will be blessed by the participation of Mr. Ali and Mrs. Violette Nakhjavani who will be presenting A Vision of the Beloved Guardian" and "The Life of Amatu'l-Baha Ruhiyih-Khanum".

The School will be conducted in Turkish and English, with translations between the two languages.  Morning sessions will include presentations, workshops and seminars.  Evening programmes are dedicated to art, music and other entertainment, whilst there will be optional activities each afternoon.

A one-day sight-seeing tour has been arranged to explore the historic sites and natural beauty of Northern Cyprus, and a tour of the Baha'i Holy Places in Turkey is being planned after the School.

Friends can arrive at Ercan airport via Turkey, or go to Larnaca in the South since it is now possible to cross from South to North since the miraculous opening of the borders at Ridvan 2002.  Please check Visa requirements if you do not hold a European passport.
