TORONTO,
Canada, 15 June 2004 -- The second issue of Varqa International
Children’s Magazine (ISSN: 1708-7767) has been distributed to
subscribers in over 70 countries. The popular children’s magazine,
which was first published in Iran and India, has returned, and it is
already reaching children around the world. A
letter to the editor from Hand of the Cause of God Dr. A. M. Varqa says
“Praise and gratitude to the threshold of the Lord of Celestial
Concourse for enabling you to create this innovative scheme which no doubt
shall be the source of great development in the spiritual training of the
Baha’i children.”
Varqa
International Children's Magazine is a full-colour 40-page literary
magazine for children 7 to 14 years old with stories, poems, articles, and
games. Varqa is the only advertisement-free children’s magazine in
Canada and may have the most diverse readership of any children’s
magazine in Canada. The
aim of Varqa magazine is to provide children of all faiths with content
that can be seen as a positive alternative to the images and ideas
prevalent in the media today. Because the magazine is not just for
Baha’i children, Varqa can be shared with the children of all
backgrounds and creates an additional resource for neighbourhood
children’s classes, a core activity of the Five Year Plan. Varqa is available by subscription through Varqa’s website www.varqamagazine.com |
