Dear EBWN, Just thought I'd let you know that there are a surprising number of possibilities of presenting this seminar arising at the moment. Hopefully I can follow them up... It's odd, but that Vision week-end has made a lot of things go round and round in my head, and it's so hard to pull out the threads, and work out what exactly it's about.
It was brought home today when I was working with a new group - women training to become child-minders. Two of the women were pretty scary, and also seemed as though they might not take much part in the work- (lack of confidence perhaps?) But as the session went on, I was astonished by the feeling and understanding that was coming out, and overwhelmed by the love, which was very apparent by the end. Does it have something to do with really believing in the existence of the gems, even when they are not easy to see? And the ability to provide a space for a process of revelation (as in revealing) to happen? With one of the parenting groups we had quite a big hiccup, because of a couple of people from outside deciding on what they thought they should
be trying to teach the group - when it was all sorted, and the group restored to its former dynamic the peace and contentment were palpable Somehow I can't express the joy there is in the work. I suppose the key to it all is Love isn't it? Anyway, thanks for listening, - it pleased me so much to have had that contact with you in Estonia and to have discovered about
Vision and how it connects with these experiences When you work apparently alone in something it can feel very small, and you can come to doubt your perceptions of its importance, even though something inside you is telling you that it really matters. I hope you are well. All the best Sarah Dear Sarah, It was thrilling to read your email and to learn of the response you are getting to some of the work you are doing. It was particularly confirming to read about how your positive attitude and belief in others is drawing out their capacities and good qualities. I suppose this is not really surprising as love is an actual force (a very powerful spiritual one!!) that causes attraction, and when one loves someone because you believe in their qualities they will become attracted and their qualities will be drawn out. Just keep going Sarah, your work is most important and surely groundbreaking.... Take care, (And again from Sarah!)
Thank you very much! I look forward to getting on with it – but am already finding that the seminar is influencing a lot of my work and understanding – at last the whole systemic thinking bit seems to have clicked into place, and I am finding I can use it to influence the parenting and childminding training I am running – as well as it having given me useful exercises to share. I hope things are moving forward well in your area and I look forward to hearing how everyone is doing. Something I have noticed since that weekend in Wels is that I am suddenly aware of all this greatness and often untapped potential in the women I am come across – in whatever situation…so it seems to have lived up to its aim of inspiring vision!! I do hope you are well, and enjoying life. With love Sarah |
