ACTIVITIES AND OPPORTUNITY IN CHINA

Dear ladies, how are you? I miss you all a lot and hope to see you somehow this summer.

We are fine and very happily busy.

Yesterday I had a very interesting meeting with the principal of a college.

The college has been set up by Beijing Normal University, which is one of the top 10 universities in China.

It is a kind of vocational college for women, and the men I met has been appointed as the principal of the school.

They asked my company if I could collaborate with them in setting up partnerships with foreign institutions so that students could finish their last year of studies abroad.

They would also be happy if foreign expert could visit once in a while the school to give lectures or do other activities.

I think that it is a wonderful opportunity as we have the chance not only to help these women to improve their lives but also to guide them on the right path.

And I think that the organisation you are part of it can have an important role in this endeavor. You can easily send experts for moral education, role of women in society etc. I am sure they will be very pleased to have visits from abroad.

The school has a big campus which can host more than 2 thousand students.

They want to teach subjects like:

• international law
• gardening
• arts (acting, dancing, singing)
• computers
• TV announcer
• Hotel management
• Tour guide
• secretary
• beauty aesthetic: cosmetics, hair dressing
• Counsellor for families
• Fashion designer
• Entrepreneurship
• Design/advertisement

But they are open to any suggestion we might have to add new subjects.

The next step would be to find institution preferably sharing our ideals where these girls can go if want to. The students will learn English, so the foreign institution should teach in English.

Hallo again,

Next week I will have the second meeting with the professor of the college and we will discuss the further steps to take.

Yesterday I was in the Shenzhen polytechnic, a kind of undergraduate college and we had a wonderful evening talking about many interesting matters.

There are more than 10,000 students there and they are more than ready to collaboration with us in many fields.

Incredible opportunities are ahead of us and we just need to reach out our hand and more and more will come.
