CHILDREN’S CLASSES

From Romania!

Working with the children's class group is really wonderful. My dear friend Ana was able to come to Acuto in October and learn all about the wonderful material prepared in the States entitled the "Core Curriculum" which so systematically teaches children (and adults!) about every aspect of the Faith and really focuses on the Creative Word. We are translating the material and will begin after Ayyam-i-Ha (big Kid's Karnival with lots of non-Baha'is invited) with the course on "The Báb".

Since it's just a curriculum, the teacher is free to select activities of every sort, songs and stories to go through the topics thoroughly as outlined in the curriculum. I have found it so thirst-quenching just to search in the Writings and other books for materials which can be translated and prepared to accompany the various strands of the curriculum. The generation attending children's classes using these materials will really move the world. We are putting together an activity book already in Romanian to accompany each strand and will hold a training hopefully this summer and following each subject/strand which we have prepared and test-driven with the Cluj kid's guinea pigs!!
